SAPS Offers R60k Reward for Information on Suspect in IFP MP Khethamabala Sithole’s Murder

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is offering a reward of R60,000 for information leading to the arrest of Zamani Ngila Ximba, a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of Khethamabala Petros Sithole, an Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) Member of Parliament.

Ximba is implicated in the tragic incident that occurred on May 31, 2025, at Buyani Hostel in Katlehong, where Sithole was shot 12 times, resulting in his death, along with the attempted murder of two other individuals. Authorities describe Ximba as dangerous and armed, urging the public to assist in his capture.

Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo emphasized the importance of community involvement in locating Ximba, stating that any information, no matter how small, could be crucial to the investigation.

Two other suspects have already made their first appearance at the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court, facing charges that include one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

As the investigation continues, the SAPS is committed to seeking justice for the victims and the community affected by this violent crime.
