Tragedy in South Durban Claims Eleven Lives in Multi-Vehicle Crash

A serious accident occurred just south of Durban on Thursday, claiming the lives of at least 11 people. The crash involved a truck and a minibus taxi on the R102 near Lotus Park.
According to ALS Paramedics, ten people were confirmed dead at the scene, while two others, including the driver of the taxi, were critically injured and trapped inside the wreckage. Emergency responders worked hard to free the injured individuals. ALS spokesperson Garrith Jamieson described the impact as severe, stating that the taxi was pinned against the truck cabin, making rescue efforts challenging.

Emergency services are still on-site, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing. The community is mourning the tragic loss of life and calling for action to improve safety on the roads.
