ActionSA Welcomes AICM and CCM in a Move to Strengthen Local Representation Ahead of 2026 Elections

The Azanian Independent Community Movement (AICM) and the Creative Congress Movement (CCM) have officially joined ActionSA as it gears up for the 2026 local government elections. The AICM has gained traction in the North West as a viable alternative to the ANC, while the CCM aims to promote the interests of creative professionals without the lengthy registration process.

ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba views these mergers as a way to enhance local representation and address community needs. He plans to revitalize areas like Johannesburg by reopening cultural venues. National Chairperson Michael Beaumont highlights that these partnerships will provide a strong alternative to larger parties that have lost touch with the public.
